The Canadian Landscape Contest – Greg McMillan
A friend and I went on an early morning shoot to a spot called Halfway Dump located in the Bruce Peninsula National Park near Tobermory, Ontario. The sun was rising fast so we had a very limited time to get some images with the dramatic light. I’m really drawn to this location because the colour of the water turns from a deep royal blue to a bright turquoise as it approaches the shoreline. I rarely use filters when shooting so I was pleasantly surprised when the water on this one showed so vividly.
