The Canadian Landscape Contest – Parnell Legg

This photo really sums up why I ever picked up a camera. Driving along Highway 40 in Alberta I had stopped at the entrance to Cataract Creek campground and walked up to the valley to see this quintessential Canadian scene. It perfectly illustrated the progression of autumn to winter as the early hour snow fall had melted as the sun broke over the mountain. It also hit home for me as exploration equals amazing moments.

  1. This is am amazing picture Parnell. It really does sum up Alberta weather. Not only is it “wait ten minutes” but it is also “walk ten metres’!
