The Canadian Landscape Contest – Dave Streeter

A small group of of went to take sunset pictures of this tree south of Winnipeg near Brunkild Manitoba. This tree has become a favorite place to go to on occasion and we jokingly call ourselves the Brunkild Tree Society.

While we were setting up for the shot an owl came flying by and I managed to get 3 shots off. This was the third of the shots and my favorite. It shows the flat terrain we have here in Manitoba along with the colorful sunsets we frequently get. It was great that the owl came buy and posted for us. I called this shot “Sunset Hunt”.
