The Canadian Landscape Contest – Lancer Fan
Wedgemount Lake is my summer favorite backcountry campsite, which is close to Whistler BC. After several hours of hiking with 40+ lbs of backpack and 1200m of elevation gain, we were the first to reach this lovely alpine meadow/lake/glacier combination on that day. Actually we almost had this whole thing to ourselves until two other hikers arrived after midnight. We set up our tents on the tent pad closest to the glacier and prepared to have a nap. Of course, how could I go into sleep without clicking the shutter? The 20mm super wide angle FX lens is just about wide enough to cover what I wanted on the Nikon 1.5X cropped DX sensor.
