The Daily Snap- June 15

©Darwin Wiggett - Canon G11

I photographed this sheep on highway 11 along Abraham Lake during the same snow storm as yesterday’s daily snap. I used the flash on the G11 to add some fill light to the sheep but the flash also lit some falling snow flakes which made for a pretty cool special effect. Click on the photo to see a larger photo.

  1. Nice! The flashed-up snow flakes really add to the image. Normally I curse “distractions” like falling snow, rain, other things that get between me and the subject. Just goes to show that with the right thinking, a lot of things can be worked into a composition as effective supporting elements.

  2. Great capture of man’s impact on nature. Wonderful!

  3. Thats really neat. I’m suprised it just stayed there for you.
