Travel Photo Contest – Frank Damon
I was in Yosemite Valley, California last February attending a photography workshop. One evening, I was in the middle of the valley at sunset, facing west, to take some sunset shots. I was a bit disappointed as the clouds and sky were not great. I prepared to leave for the night. I then looked to my right and saw the most beautiful sunset colors I think I have ever seen. This, along with the multi-shaped leafless tree and low-lying fog bank in the distant background, made for a scene that I just starred at for a few minutes, in amazement at what nature brings to the eye. I finally took a series of shots before the sun disappeared.
