Weekly Photo – August 6

©Darwin Wiggett

This photo was taken the same night as the Daily Snaps for August 4 and 5. It was a crazy storm  with lots of lightning and wild weather. When I returned home that night our house must have been hit by lighting because the breakers were tripped and our garage door opener had a fried circuit board. I used my 24mm TS-E lens with a Singh-Ray LB warming polarizer and a Singh-Ray 2-stop hard-edge grad over the sky. Typical of an Alberta prairie road is the road-killed Richardson’s ground squirrel in the lower left of the photo. Click on the photo for a larger view.

    And patches! And potholes, and…

  3. The driver must have really slammed on the brakes trying to avoid him. Eh?

  4. Hahaha, I love that you composed with the roadkill in the shot!

  5. Amazing clouds and colors! I also really like that diagonal light from top left going down right. Have a nice holiday!

  6. Ouch! Poor little fella. The sky is amazing here. What a blessing to live in this magnificent part of the world. Wishing you well in the Yukon!
