This Weeks Photo Contest Winner and more
This week’s winner of the the How to Photograph the Canadian Rockies Photo Contest is Dawn Traverse with an excellent abstract image of canoes at Moraine Lake – click on this link to check it out!. Canoes at Moraine Lake by Dawn Traverse winning this contest is a bad joke, Right? If this is what your judge considers to be symbolic of Canadian Rockies I’m sure glad that I did not post an entry only to realize that you really didn’t want photos of the Rockies but rather colorful abstract art forms. Next time you have a contest it might be a good idea to explain whether of not you want abstract art photos or actual photos of the subject you have chosen.

Hi Bill, I totally understand your point-of-view. The contest is open to any subject matter as long as it was shot in the Canadian Rockies. I obviously did not make that clear in the contest announcement. So don’t blame the judge, she just picked an image she liked considering the open nature of the contest. So far we have had two landscapes as winners, one wildlife shot, and one abstract. I hope you’ll enter and now you know any subject is open! Darwin
