The Final Post – 3 Years Later
Three years ago in January, 2009, I made my first blog post. This post will be my last one on this blog.
It has been a wonderful experience sharing photos, stories and tips about life and learning through the lens. I’ve had photo contests where I gave away lenses and trips and other goodies (how fun!). I’ve had a seriously controversial camera review (Sam and I won’t live that one down… but we do get emails daily totally in agreement with our findings) But best of all I have shared with you the amazing work of many fellow photographers through Inspirations and Photographer of the Month posts. Thanks to these photographers for letting me feature their work!
I have been inspired and humbled by he response to this blog. Thanks mostly to you dear visitor for stopping by to read and make comments!
Going forward Samantha and I will do all our photography and community posts over at oopoomoo where we will have tons of free photography tips and tricks and techniques and of course our popular How-to and Photography Guide eBooks and announcements of workshops and tours. We still plan to keep the inspiration up and have lots to stimulate the eye and mind on the topics of photography and living better on this planet. I hope you will join us at oopoomoo.
Finally, I want to thank a Samantha Chrysanthou, Sabrina Henry and Catherine Byram for help with posting blog entries.

Darwin, thanks for sharing so much and so generously here on this blog. I’d have to say this has been one the top resources I’ve learned from and been inspired by in the last couple years as I got started with photography. I look froward to seeing what you and Sam have in store with oopoomo, and will be following you there.

Thanks so much for sharing so much of your knowledge on this blog. I always looked back on posts you wrote for inspiration. This has been one of the blogs that I visit daily since I found it in 2009. You really got me interested in photography on a more creative level and I thank you for that. All the best with oopoomoo.

It’s been fun, Darwin. Thanks for teaching and sharing – I have a new appreciation for the beauty of the Canadian Rockies, thanks to you, and a lot of new ideas and techniques to try to capture that beauty for myself (and for sharing and possibly inspiring others). Thanks for producing such a great blog. It has been my favourite website! I like your approach in Oopoomoo so am looking forward to following you there. My only complaint is that the Oopoomoo name is a bit too hard to forget. It keeps going around my brain like the “ear worm” tunes that you can’t shake. Rats, now I’m thinking of examples like bubblegum tunes produced by the “Archies”! Obviously you have a successfully sticky brand name here!

I just found this blog only to find it’s ended. Great stuff and still new for me. I saw an image of yours that was wonderful on Smibs TV and so that led me here.
Ironically, I’ve just started a photo/day project on Dec. 11, 2011 without being aware of yours.
