Travel Photo Contest – Maria Teresa Michelangeli
This photo was taken in a Barley Mill in a small village in Tibet. It was a very primitive mill powered by water from a small creek. The guy in this picture is Pasang, the only worker we met there, he was very proud of his work and kept the place clean and working non-stop. I like his expression of surprise and a bit of distrust. After he said “I thought you’ll be interested on how the mill works, not in a regular guy like me”. But in fact I was more interested in him. Nikon D70. 28-80mm Nikkor. f/4.81/20 sec. Natural light.

Wonderful shot. The background is a perfect compliment to the portrait.
