Here is a shot of Cataract Lake from the headwaters of the Brazeau River in Jasper National Park. This is just below Cataract Pass before humping up over the pass to get into the Whitegoat Wilderness Area (Canon Rebel T2i, Sigma 17-50mm lens, Singh-Ray LB warming polarizer, f16 – 3 exposure HDR blend using Oloneo PhotoEngine).

    Darwin,

Fantastic images! What do you think about PhotoEngine? These images look incredible and realistic. Do you think this software is preferable for your style of photography than the other HDR packages? Can you see possibly using more HDR processing in PhotoEngine rather than using filters to get natural appearing range of light? Thanks.

    • Love PhotoEngine: fast and easy to use, easy to get ‘realistic results. I will use filters where I can to get it as close as possible in-camera with less processing time afterwards. But where filters won’t work or will be obvious in the photo I will turn to multiple exposures and HDR blending in PhotoEngine.
